Hi everybody...

Hi everybody, I am Michele, 54,  Italian but living in the hot Doha (Qatar) for quite a long. Very happy to join the community. I am doing mainly 1/35 military models, trying to focus on  Vietnam war but not only...fascinated by weathering techniques and all the good stuff I can read and see here...this is a very nice hobby, complete and stimulating. Unfortunately, where I live now it is very difficult to find hobby materials and there are many restrictions for deliveries as well... this makes all more complicated but at the same time more challenging. Thank you since now for all the suggestions and good advice, I still have a lot to learn and hope to find good friends here. Ciao !

Great to have you here Michele. While I was in Iraq for almost two years I participated in this hobby but like you say. It's hard to get things in country. lol

Welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard. Rather you than me, i am not a lover of the heat and one summer in Iraq was enough. But i do like Italy, went to Rome last year and we are going to Pompeii this year.

Look forward to seeing your work.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Welcome to the Forums Michele! Glad to have you with us.

My grandparents came to the U.S. from Rome. Unfortunately I have never had the chance to go there for a visit. Maybe one of these days I may get that chance.

Glad you are enjoying the hobby.

Thank you, as said I am sure that Iraq is a more difficult environment than Qatar... and heat is in any case too much. Pompei is a wonderful place. Take care

The other folk's on this forum hate it when I tell them My area of the State's was 85 degree's here today ( most of them have been in a Cold Snowstorm for the past three month's ...)

But I think your "Heat" may have me beat !

Welcome to FSM.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
