Hi Folks, from Toronto, Canada
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, March 6, 2003 8:41 PM
Just wanted to say hi. I am new to this forum but I have been subscribing to Fine Scale Modeler for two years now. I belong to the Toronto chapter of IPMS and I build mostly WWII 1/48 scale aircraft, although recently I have branched out into modern jets with a Hasegawa f-16.
I am a 39 year old high school History teacher, married with a six year old son who keeps me fairly busy. I came back to the hobby about 8 years ago, and boy has it ever changed. What people are producing today is absolutely amazing! I am still building my skills and I am sure this forum will help me in that endeavour.
Cheers!

Hi ya General Lee ...

A big "unofficial" welcome to the FSM community forum(s) ... the best place on the 'net to read about, talk about and share scale modeling. As I am sure you will notice when you poke around the forums ... we are all scale modelers ... all of us with varied interests ... over 10,000 strong now and growing. I hope you will stop by often. Have fun! Smile [:)]

So how did you guess that I am a Civil War buff? Could it have been in the user name I chose? Hmmmm? Wink [;)] One of the most fascinating periods in American History. Almost ranks up there with William Lyon Mackenzie's rebellion of 1837!

Happy modelling, Shermanfreak.
