Returning obsessive
Posted by Phil3819 on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 11:20 PM

Greetings from Newark, England.

I'm returning to the hobby from years away, maybe as many as 20 of them and finding myself wishing this monster called Internet was around back then for help and inspiration.

I started back with a Mosquito, painted by hand and built almost straight out of the box. I'm progressing on to more realistic attempts, incorporating weathering and shading. I'm yet to see what sort of ability I may, or may not, have but am looking forward to finding out.

I may take more than I give in here, but please accept my thanks 8n advance for all the help I'm going to get from so many of you.

Phil.

Welcome to the Forums Phil! Glad to have you aboard.

You've come to the right place. The members here are very knowledgeable and ready to help out with any questions/problems that you might have. A lot of them got here the same way you did. I've been building for 71 of my 77 years and I'm still learning something new almost every day.

Enjoy!

First off , welcome aboard Phil. It's great to have you in here. Secondly, it won't be too long and your statement above will be the other way around. Give it a little time and you'll be amazed at your progress.

See ya round bud, Joe

Thanks for the welcomes folks. One thing that  obviously hasn't changed while I've been out of this crazy game is the friendliness of other idiots......... errrr........ exponents, yeah, that's the word, exponents, of the modelling world.

It really is good to be back. Now, where's that bottle of Klear......
