Hi everyone, Name's Dave, 46, New to the forum, but been building models since I Was a teenager. Stepped away for a number of years due to circumstances, however I'm now back, and looking to take my skills o the next level. Ex-Navy, worked on Tomcats for VF-111 in the early 90's. In addition to modelling I'm also heavily into Diamond Painting and run a fairly successful youtube channel for that, and would like to add modelling to the repertiore as well. Looking forward to reading all the tips and tricks as well as sharing any that I may be able to as well. Glad to be here!

Hey Dave. Welcome. I'm ex-Navy as well and made a WesPac on Carl Vinson in the 80's. The Sundowners were on board for the cruise.

Greetings, Dave.
I worked on S-3 Vikings as an AT in the late 70s when they were first introduced to the Fleet.

What kind of models do you have in mind?  Aircraft, armor, ships, cars or other?  Each has its own set of skills focus.  Some folks excel in all types.

I build ships and cars, for the most part.
Best regards,
Rick

Welcome to the forums from someone who spent two years at Minot.  If you need something, or just want to hang around with some great people, this is the place.

Welcome back to the hobby and welcome to the forum, Dave!  A lot of us went into a similar "modeling hiatus", too.  I look forward to seeing your builds, and I'm curious to see your Diamond Painting.  Is that literally what it says-painting on a diamond?

Best regards,

Brad
