That D8 is an older kit however it is a good build. Indy links are pretty easy and the kit lends itself to detailing if one likes. Have fun with it.

we're modelers it's what we do

Cool project.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Welcome ( I'd say have a seat by the fire but right here at least it's the wrong time of year for fires lol) !!

And we have a painting and airbrush forum here that you can find under Forums. Lot's of knowledge there about weathering, not to mention the Airplane forum. You will find help and links to more help. Youtube is a friend too if you find the right videos.

Hello,

I'm retired and I decided to try my hand at modeling.  It gives me something to do besides rake the yard and take out the trash.  I like to build anything in plastic or wood.  I haven't been conerned with accuracy or weathering. I have decided to try weathering and I'm hoping this forum will give me some tips to help with this. Currently I'm building an AMT 1:25 scale D8 that I'm going to us to practicing weathering.

I enjoy FSM mag.  It shows me what can be done.
