Returning to plastic modeling
Posted by jegbflat on Thursday, August 20, 2020 9:04 PM

Hi all, like everyone I assembled kits as a boy - didn't paint.  Spent 20 years in RC soaring.

Now in retirement am returning to plastic modeling. This time around would like to take it more seriously so invested in airbrush and some tools.

I'm hoping to connect with folks here to inspire, encourage and tutor me a bit.

Thanks,

Jerry

Hi Jerry. Like you I am new to the site and have recently returned to modelling. You have made a good decision in joining. I have only been a member for a very short time, but I can vouch for the friendly atmosphere and the willingness to share skills and knowledge. Enjoy!

Welcome.  Tools and such are sure different from years ago!  Everyone here is very helpful - wide and varied interests too!  Good luck.

Keep on modeling!

All the best,

William

Hi Jerry! Welcome to the Forums. Glad to have you with us.

I'm one of the old timers on here. Started building at 6 (1946) and never stopped. Did all the other hobbies also along the way also. Was into soaring and also R/C sailboats too. Raced up and down the east coast for about 10 years. Did the model building at the same time.

Great bunch of people here that are very knowledgeable and ready to help out with any questions or problems. Don't be afraid to ask for help. They don't bite, but will give you constructive criticism if you ask for it.

Enjoy.
