Hello from southern Ontario Canada
Posted by Orfew on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 1:13 AM

Hi all,

I used to put together models when I was younger but left the hobby for over 30 years. I decided to jump back in a few weeks ago. I am looking forward to exploring this site and learning from the more experienced members.

I have bought a few kits to get things started and I would be interested in getting some feedback as to which one I should start with and any reasoning behind the choice. I appreciate any feedback and am ready to get to know the members here.

Best regards,

Andrew

Hi, I am on Lake Ontario. A few minutes from Niagara Falls. I am planning to do the 1:48 Stuka first and them tackle the Arizona. I love your kitbashing thread...very cool.

Also, thanks to all for the warm welcome.

I spent part of my honeymoon on the Canadian side of the falls. A wonderful place.

@Bish I had to reply to your post because of your signature. I have experienced some moving moments in my lifetime but none more moving than standing at the entrance to Essex farm where McCrae wrote "In Flanders' fields". I saw the grave of his friend that inspired the poem. I spent the entire day at the monuments battlefields and cemeteries associated with the commonwealth forces. At one of these stops along the way some British school children left messages for the soldiers that fell in battle. It was also very moving. I ended the day listening to the last post at the Menin gate. My Great grandfather's name is inscribed there. Again, thanks for the welcome and for bringing back some important memories.

Hey, welcome to a fellow Canadian.  I don't think I'm that far from you, I'm in Hamilton, so we are practically neighbours.

Hi Andrew. Welcome to the forums.
