Hi! I always love to see people coming back to the Hobby as they get older. I did the same thing myself.

You're not the first guy that said he came from SA, I assume that stands for Scale Auto? I know there was a magazine called scale auto, did they go under or something? I just came back to the forum myself so I'm still kind of feeling my way around, doing my best not to offend anyone or ask too many stupid questions. I think I'm doing pretty good with the first part, but as for the stupid questions? Wink

Car models can be very, very cool, have you ever thought about making them move under their own power? Over the last seven years or so I've gotten heavily into radio control and I've been having a blast. I've even got a 1:6 scale radio control tank that shoots 50 caliber paintballs. I also really like to do military trucks so I'll be watching your work to see if I can learn any good techniques.

Detroit, where the weak are killed and eaten. Bwahahaha

Good to have you with us two-qts-low. I'm not a car builder, but I'm sure you will find plenty of mates here who are.

Welcome back to the hobby!  Really nice to have all the SA folks coming over.  I do about 1/3 cars so I have quite an interest in seeing your work.

Thanks,

John

Stop me if you've heard this one before.  Modeled a bit as a kid, mostly badly.  Now in my mid-60s, I've decided to get back into it.

The virus played a major role in my decision.  We've holed up in our old log cabin in the middle of nowhere and I have a LOT of time on my hands.  I've completed about eight cars so far, and have another half-dozen or thereabouts waiting for me to make yet another unique mistake.
