Hello from the UK
Posted by s.t.u.a.r.t on Friday, November 13, 2020 11:34 AM

Hi All,

I just thought I'd pop into this forum of yours and say hello! My name's Stuart and I live on a cold, damp, overcrowded yet beautiful island on the east of the Atlantic - just to the west of the place that smells of garlic.

I've been modelling for about 10 years or so now, I mainly used to build 1/72 British WWII subjects and Soviet Jets from strange little ex-warsaw pact countries nobodies heard of, but these days I'm mostly into building late Cold War jets in 1.48. My current build is Airfix's old H.S. Hawk T.1.

Airfix 1/48 Hawk T.1

I'm a pretty old skool, I like older kits and I still use a mk.1 hairy stick.

Some of you I might already know from other shady bits ot the interweb, but those that I don't I look forward to chatting to you.

Cheers! Toast

Stuart

Thanks Carlos, I thought it was about time I joined. I was getting a bit worried becuase it took a while to get this approved - I was hoping I hadn't put my foot in it before I'd even started!

Thanks!

It was better than the mk0.5, the horse kept kicking me everytime I dipped it's tail in the paint pot...

Yep, all done with a small no'4 brush and Hataka paints. Also, all the demarcation lines were 95% free-handed - I hate masking!
