Hello and welcome aboard Rob, as you know by now we have new kits, new materials, new tools and new methods. There is so many changes in our hobby you can hardly keep up. In addition to the Ships Forum check out the Group Builds where you will find an interesting array of topics. Also look to see where members live and what they say about themselves in the profile. You may be surprised at how geographically broad and diverse our membership is after 35 years. Our membership is represented in 80 countries.

Thanks Harold, yes I had noticed a lot has changed, and there of course is a lot more kits and materials that are more accessible now than 35yrs ago.

Really looking forward seeing everyone's builds, techniques etc..

Been building since 1946 (6 years old) and never stopped. Lots of great people on the forums that are very knowledgeable and ready to help with questions/problems.

Me and the Mrs love going down to Ayr for a week or a weekend a lot of historical stuff too see and of course Rabbie Burns house in Alloway.

Atm I have completed 3 kitsand have 1 in progress which I will post soon after I finish my last 12hr shift at work. 

I have built up a considerable stash over the last 6 months so I have ample kits to build in due time
