Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you with us.
You got here the same way as a lot of the members. I'm one of the "different" ones. I started building in 1946 (6 years old) and never stopped. I build whatever strikes my fancy at the time and my wallet says OK. My favorites are WWI & WWII planes followed by sailing ships of all types as you can see by my avatar.
There is no such thing as a "dumb" question here. If you need help, just ask. That's what we're here for.
My worth on your question about the glue problem is to start usingTamiya Extra Thin Cement. It is a clear liquid and comes in a small square bottle with a built-in applicator brush. You put the two pieces you want together and line them up where you want them to be and then just dip the brush in the bottle and run it down the seam that you want glued. It works by capillary action and wicks into the seam leaving no residue behind. I let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. It's great stuff and a lot of the members use it.
If you check the forums closely, you will notice that there are sections for questions about all different types of models and sections for planes, ships, armor, painting, decals etc. They help you to get your question/problem to the right people. I've asked lots of questions in my time and always got lots of help from the great people on here.
Sooooooo, sit back, relax, have a sip or two of your favorite brew whether it be , , , or my favorite and build away. Post photos of your builds so we can see your work. It makes it a lot easier to help out if we can see what you're working on .
