I thought it was time to join up here. I have been hanging out on another automotive based forum since Scale Auto disappeared. But having received the Finescale as a replacement and giving it a good shakedown, even though I wish there was a little more car content, I am impressed by the skill of the artisans who contribute.
I hail from New Zealand and I tend to build solely auto and/or sci-fi ( gundam ) but have dabbled in the odd aircraft and 1 tank. Looking to venture into 1/700 naval ships as well to break things up. Smooth gloss finishes can be so frustrating at times so matte weather finishes might be nice for a change of pace.
