Greetings from VA
Posted by DLavan on Sunday, December 12, 2021 9:40 AM

I recently retired from the Navy and found myself with free time, and have gotten back into regular model building.  I used to be a regular subscriber of FSM about 15 years ago, and knew that was the right community to jump back into.  Most of my interest is in Warships, WW1/WW2 military aircraft and some Science Fiction.

Hi DL! Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you back with us.

Thank you for your service.

I usually build WWI & WWII aircraft followed by sailing ships, but I also build anything and everything that strikes my fancy at the time and my wallet says "OK".Wink

Sooooooooo, now that you're retired, sit back, relax, have a sip or two of your favorite brew whether it be CoffeeBeerDrinks, or my favorite Toast and build away. If you need any help, just ask.

Welcome.  I too recently retired.  My companies HQ was in Sterling VA so I've spent some time in NOVA.

Thanks,

John

DLavan

I recently retired from the Navy and found myself with free time, and have gotten back into regular model building.  I used to be a regular subscriber of FSM about 15 years ago, and knew that was the right community to jump back into.  Most of my interest is in Warships, WW1/WW2 military aircraft and some Science Fiction.

Welcome back to the hobby, and welcome to the forum, DL!  We share some of the same interests in modeling subjects, and I look forward to seeing your build!

Best regards,

Brad

Also retired Navy and moved from Northern VA back in 2013. So, spill the beans; Rank or Rate, Rating, etc, and where you at swabbie?

Oh, and welcome aboard.

G'day mate. I'm also ex-Navy, but your downunder type. As  my old mate Hoo Yah says, welcome aboard.
