Hey everyone,

Just wanted to say hi! I built a lot of plastic kits when I was fairly young (up till about highschool) and then got consumed by R/C cars/buggies, then real cars, then family, back to cars, still into cars, but in the downtime I decided to get back into plastic modeling.

I have several autos I intend to build first. I'm working on a Tamiya Subaru rally car right now, but I also have interests in military assets like planes / subs / maybe boats... we'll see where this goes.

I'm about half-way through this Subaru: (seeing the photo of the underside makes me cring at the flat black brush strokes!! Gonna have to touch that up..)

Welcome to the FineScale Modeler Forum, Barry! Cars, planes, tanks, starships, whatever kind of scale modeling you're interested in, you'll find it here. If you do other social media, you can find FineScale Modeler on Facebook and Twitter, too. And don't forget to check out the website where there's plenty more how-to modeling information.

Welcome Sign

Welcome aboard! Always great to have another inmate in the asylum. (And you timed it right...today is pudding day!Smile)

Look forward to seeing more of your work. (And as for the brush-strokes on the underside...just dry-brush them tan, and call it mud! Never out-of-place on a rally car.Big Smile)

Cheers

Greg

Welcome back to the hobby, Barry, and welcome to the forum!  That's a great intro build to show, and I look forward to seeing more of your builds.

Best regards,

Brad

Welcome!  The Subaru is coming along nicely.  I used to race RC10 buggies (the old gold aluminum pan) way back and I too am into cars.  Looking forward to seeing more models.

Thanks,

John
