Hallo zusammen!

A good friend insited that I break out of my hermit habit and share some of my work here.

I've dabbled in the hobby on and off during the winter months for a long time... mostly Tamiya etc. 1/24 racing/street cars. As I'm retired now, and my summer budget can no longer afford road racing or autocross silliness, I've resurrected a few back-burner projects, and finished a variety of new "one of a kind" builds that Joachim insists that I share here.

Two of the "covid builds" are finishied, and I've a good selection of build pics. Look out for them in the Scratchbuilding and Autos section (the two builds are related).

Cheers,

Juergen

Hi Juergen,

Welcome to the FSM Forum. Thanks for leaving your hermitage, and thank Joachim for convincing you to join. Can't wait to see your work!

Welcome aboard!  Nice to see more race car builds.  What did you drive in 1:1?

Thanks,

John

Thanks for the welcome.

I was crew chief for several semi-pro endurance road racing teams in Canada in the late 80s and early 90s. We ran VW GTIs, Corrado VR6, and Jetta VR6 (with which we won Sport Class during the Michelin Enduroseies supporting race in front of the F1 crowd at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

My partner and I split from the last team and built a semi-tube frame GT-Spec Corrado (supercharded VR6 with 410 hp) where we won three sprint event championships in CASC Ontario Region:

After a business transfer to the USA (Michigan) that involved more travel, I shifted my focus to competeing in local SCCA and DCSCC autocross events... to keep my hand in:

Now retired with a bad back and knees, so I've resorted to fabbing and building in a smaller scale!

Cheers,

Juergen
