Oh, but it's a forum for all model builders, regardless of the medium! Too bad it kept you from posting, but I hope you'll post more frequently, especially your flying models. Your D1 looks great!
Best regards,
Brad
The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
As I recall, I joined in the hopes of learning how to make details I could apply to my flying scale model airplanes. i was not building plastic models at the time. Here's a photo of one of them. Stick and tissue, rubber powered, and it flies in a very realistic manner. It's a Junkers D1, from WW1-30 " wingspan. I hope the picture posts-still struggling a bit with the pictures.

Where've you been since 2013?
My sons and I were big in to RC for a long time. One of my sons was the king of RC Helo's which is pretty challenging. I still have a few, gave up on the gas birds and have a few electric birds. And I have a few helis but they scare me lol. Lots of room for all forms of scale models here. Welcome.
Thanks,
John
Started building plastic and wooden models back in '46 (6 years old) and never stopped. Along the way I did the R/C planes & sailboats, gliders, free flight, stick & tissue and indoor microfilm rubber powered planes also. I still make the ocasional stick & tissue just for the fun. There's lots of room here in our community and the surrounding area is all farmland. Lots and lots of open space.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
aboard!
I've done plastic since I was a little shaver, but I also did quite a few stick and tissue flying models -- mostly all Guillow kits -- back in the day.
Hope you enjoy your time here. There's a lot of knowledge and experience...some good stories...and more than a few quirky personalities, for your dining and dancing pleasure.
Cheers
Greg

Welcome to the forum
I have been making models for many years, but they are flying models. Stick and tissue FreeFlight ones. Many years ago, I built many plastic models, but got away from it for a very long time.
Cleaning out a closet recently, I discovered my old Matilda tank I built many decades ago. I decided to try to make it more realistic, and here I am.
Looking forward to gaining more knowledge, and starting to build more realistic models.
