Being in grapevine and mid day on a Sunday I may just show up. The wife and I , I'll let her know to put it on the calendar.
i am as I speak unpacking all my modeling supplies and tools to see what's been lost and what I still have. Yes , 2008-2010 I was trying to get started again. I have moved twice and become self employed ,also had CPS deliver my nephews to us in the middle of the night one night. They were 5 and 8 very unruly so all my models, guns and all the related things were packed up and put back in storage.
one thing after another and a couple moves later and now the nephews being reunited with their bio mom we are empty nesters and that bedroom is now my hobby area. Guns, models and all the related things are coming out of storage.
I started the Revelle/monograham A-10 back then, it is now on my new to me desk/work bench. i cant wait to get back to it. I started it as just a build and finish model. What I mean is, i cant remember the last model I finished building. I would always get stalled afte the fuselage and wings were on then parts get lost to the point I couldn't finish it. All that interior detail waisted.
I am more concerned about finishing the model it's self than the quality of the build if that makes since. That means oob build and no special details. This will be like a child's first build So be easy on me.
I can wait for my wife and I to meet some of you.
p.s.
I drive/deliver for a living and as a result work a lot of hours so my spare time is very limited, but as a result allows me the occasional opportunity.
if you look at the hobby shop directory in FSM you will see a hobby shop in Owasso , Ok..
I had the opportunity to get by there this last Wednesday and it is a wonderful place somewhat like I remember the hobby shop in Bedford was like So if any of you find yourself in or near Tulsa Oklahoma please take the short drive up to Owasso and patronize his shop. The proprieter is a very nice and informative man and fellow model builder.
i hope to visit again and this time talk model building rather than being in a hurry to get in and out. I was pressed for time when I stopped Wednesday.
p.s. to the p.s.
it's Saturday and raining. Wife and I were going to spend the day at the gun range "private members only" in Bowie but with the rain it's a no go. Soooooooo, my hobby room door is open and the room is warming up. I'm going to get to that A-10 some today.
