Welcome to the hobby and the forum, Sambor!  That's an ambitious freshman project, and I look forward to seeing your build!

If you haven't already had a look, I think you'll enjoy looking in the Ships forum, too:

Hi Sambor! Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you aboard.

I've been building ship models for quite a few years. I agree with Brad about checking the Ships section of the Forums. Lots of great info there. I've learned a lot and have enjoyed the help I've gotten there.

Look forward to seeing your build of the Yamato. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you have questions/problems.

Stay Safe.

Yamato is a beautiful looking ship, I've always liked her lines. I think many of the later Japanese ships of WWII were attractive vessels. You've pick a great and ambitious first effort! I hope you enjoy the journey and the results.
And before I forget - Welcome to the forum!

Hi:

And Welcome. You will find that ship to be a challenge. She's beautiful for sure(One of the most "Beautiful" Warships ever designed alongside the Iowas.) Be patient and DON'T get in a hurry. Your reward will be worth it!
