Welcome to the group from Florida.

If I build aircraft it's normally 1/48th and then it's usually the aircraft I have been around.  I also go tinto ships and S.F. kits, sometimes modifyinf other kits, usually ships, into some kind of space craft.

Welcome to the Forums Coach! Welcome back to the hobby.

I'm still learning after building for 76 of my 82 years thanks to the members here. Great bunch of people who are very knowledgeable and helpful.

My favorites are WWI & WWII planes followed by sailing ships.

Stay Safe.

Welcome!  I prefer 1/48 aircraft as well unless I'm building the really big birds like airliners.  Looking forward to seeing some of your builds.

Thanks,

John

Coach B

New to the group and I've gotten back into modeling in the last few months as a relaxing hobby. My normal preference is 1/48 aircraft....mostly because when you're the guy who wears. XXXL gloves, the smaller builds are really tough. Looking forward to learning weathering techniques and how to build smarter. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Welcome back to the hobby, Coach, and welcome to the forum!

I build 1/48 scale aircraft, too (among other things), so I look forward to seeing your builds.

If I can offer any advice, it's to remember that it's a hobby, so you should enjoy what you're doing at any time.  Even as you look at others' work, and compare your own, remember to build what you like, the way you like (as an old modeler once said).

Best regards,

Brad
