Back to this forum after a months-long hiatus
Posted by Teenage Modeler on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 6:00 PM

Hello, everyone. I think some people in this forum already know me as Teenage Modeler, who is active during the summer months. The thing is, I only really work on models over the summer since that's about the only free time I get to really make models. That's why I am dormant in other months, but I am here and there around the summer months. This year I have been pretty busy with school.

I would like to apologize to those people who have been waiting for me to talk about my F4U-4 Corsair build last summer. I already finished it during ther first week of school, and I was not able to post it there, so people may have been wondering for an update. I would probably post that update soon, so people know about it.

Needless to say, I am here and back since summer is approaching anyway, so I might as well would just say hi. For those who have never met me, hello! I am a teenager in high school making models as a hobby and I have been liking this ever since I was only a child. Throughout my hobby career, I have made a few models here and there, one of which was said F4U-4. Right now, I am working on an AMT 1968 Ford Shelby Mustang GT-500.

I will definitely try to work on some more models this summer, since I want to take advantage of that free time. I would also like to add that because these are the last few months of school for me, I might be even busier than before because final exams are coming up, so just a heads up.

I hope to see many models and people in this forum!

Summer hiatus.  Pretty common, actually.

Well it adds up that he would find an angle to divide you from the total but if we subtract the math factor we can all discuss the matter as equals.

Hi TM! Welcome back.

During my 18 years in the oil industry and another 18 in a chemical laboratory I never had to find "X". But, all the other "stuff" really came in handy as I worked my way up the ladder. Big Smile Keep those grades up. There will be plenty of time for building models. I've been building them for 76 of my 82 years.

Stay Safe.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.

Thanks all for the positive replies. I know that I won't be building a lot of models (as much as a lot of you) but that doesn't mean that I won't ever stop making models. I will still make models and love them in the future, just that I won't have time to make it.

You're doing fine, TM.  I haven't finished a build since 2018, I think.  Maybe even farther back. Started a few, but haven't finished. I have a Shelf of Doom with at least a dozen stalled builds on it.
