Hi Warch Got your email, thanks. i have found that it normaly takes airfix about two to three weeks to get the parts to you so if you hang on a bit they may drop through your letterbox soon. If they dont have the spare parts in stock they will get them direct from the production line. have you thought about using an artermarket vacform canopy? they tend to be much better than the kit offerings anyway.....Gregers

Write to Airfix, they have an excellent service dept. I had to request replacement parts in the past, and they were quick to send them out.

Welcome to FSM warch. It's great to have you come join us here. If I were you I'd post that request about canopies in the aircraft forum, there's some modellers over there that can surely give you a hand.

Hi ya warch...

Welcome to the FSM Community Modeling Forum(s). I am glad that you stopped by and joined up.

I am sorry that you have a damaged canopy for your 1/72 scale Airfix Buccaneer. My suggestion would be to follow the missing/damaged parts procedure listed in your Airfix instruction sheet. If your Airfix instruction sheet does not explain what to do ... then perhaps someone else here in the Forum(s) will read this and have an idea. Smile [:)]

Anyway ... you have come to the right place on the 'net for scale modelers ... again ... welcome and good luck!

damaged Airfix parts

Hi everyone:
I'm a new member, happy to be here!
I started building models since about 10 years old. My first model was an 1/72 Airfix A-4D1. Funny I can hardly remember anything else I did or bought at the age of 10, but that model, from it being hanging on the wall in the store all the way to it was finally finished (by my cousin), the whole process is like yesterday to me.
I recently purchased an 1/72 Airfix Buccaneer. The two-piece canopy is damaged. Does anyone know how I can get a replecement?
