As far as I can tell there aren't any clubs in this AO, but that is OK, I have plenty of kits waiting at home. What I am trying to figure out is what to do about paint and supplies.
Now, in reviewing the threads, it appears that acrylic paints are the only real options for sending over, along with super glue, which I can also get at the exchange. Is this correct? What about spray paints? I don't know how I would get a compressor or canned air and an airbrush, so it seems that sprays would be the best options, but there again, mailing is a problem. Or is it? A little advice on what to tell my family to purchase and send would be greatly appreciated. |

Are you going to be stationed in Kuwait? If so, your folks ought to be able to send you acrylic paints, compressors, air brushes, etc to you via the Base mail stop. Make sure they don't send it to a commercial address as it will have to clear Kuwaiti customs and that can be a huge pain. I don't know if spray paint would make it via standard commercial mail. Of course, you could always venture out off base if you need supplies, just have to find out where to go. Again though, biggest thing is to MAKE SURE they send you mail through the Base mail stop, not to a commercial address.
