Telford show 2014 (photo heavy)
Posted by P mitch on Saturday, November 8, 2014 1:12 PM

I thought I'd drop on today to give a brief review of the Telford show.

Firstly I spent the first hour or so queuing to Zoukei Mura to pick up the new Horton 229 but I'll review that in a different post tomorrow.

After this I had a good look round and noticed a couple of interesting things, for a start Zoukei Mura are bringing us a FW 190. It will be in two versions, a simple version and a full version.

Airfix promised something but only showed up with a 1/72 HE111 and a 1/72 Sea King

After hearing rumours of a new 1/24 it was a bit of a let down.

Revell had a Iowa class on show with photo etch attached which I thought looked nice, but then I'm not a boat guy

While I'm on the subject of boats I noticed a stand for Scalewarship which had photoetch rigging

Which again looked good to me

I noticed hidden away on a magazine stand an advert for a new Meng Kit, a 6X6 Cougar.

I also payed a visit to Tarangus and picked up the new Viggen, but I'll review that tomorrow, let me say here though it looks good in the box,

Other than that it was a lot of walking about, talking to a lot of people and making some contacts, I even scored a baseball cap from Alclad (the salesman recognized me which says a lot).

Below are some shots of some of  the contest tables. Please excuse the poor quality as I only had my phone with me.

All in all I had a good day, but must have walked miles.

Any questions I'm happy to give any info I have and look out for my box reviews of the Zoukei Mura Ho229 and the Tarangus 1/48 Viggen tomorrow

Some nice pics there Phil and some great builds. I don't suppose you know which He 111 variant that is do you, I do hope its not an H-6. And is that a B&P Defiant along side it.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Thanks for this post, Phil. I've wondered what a show is like and you've given me a bit of a feel.

I think its a P2 and yes there was a B&P Defiant along side it. I also forgot to mention I saw the 1/32 HK Lancaster as well. Honest opinion on that would be way to big (its 3 1/2 feet across at least) and I would hope for more detail from it
