Our club’s Armorcon model show is September 23 and 24th, 2016.  It will be held once again at the Crowne Plaza, 18 Old Ridgebury Road, Danbury, CT 06810.  $99 discounted rooms available.  Hotel phone number is 203-794-0600.  Reservations should be made by August 23, 2016 but be sure to ask for the Armorcon discount.
Show includes 80 table vendor room, huge raffle with great prizes, free Juniors make-n-take, research, modeling and workshop seminars as well as AMPS open judging system!  17 entry categories and 20 special awards.
Show times are 11AM to 7PM on Friday and 9AM to 4PM on Saturday.
This year’s show theme is: “1916: The Dawn of Armored Warfare”

I can recommend an AMPS show to anyone interested in armor...the judging system in my experience has been very tough but fair, and written feedback is left by everyone who judges your work...typically I've had as many as SIX judges look at and rate my work at the shows I've attended In Atlanta...my one Gold Medal in the advanced category of German Armor is one of my most prized pieces of bling I have in my case (and I have a lot of bling)...
