The conventions / contests I attended were an excellent source for after-market products as well as kits.

You will probably spend most of your time talking to other attendees.........after you emptied your wallet.Crying

Question: should this thread be linked with the

Thanks for the responses!

Now my breathing has gotten a little faster and my palms a little sweatier.  LOL!  And thank you veyr much for letting me know about some of them not taking credit cards and possibly not even checks.  I'll be ready for the show now.

I'd like to see how these contests go.  Specifically, I've always been curious to see how my models compare to those I'll be seeing.  I wouldn't mind entering a plane or two of mine but I have the feeling I'd be laughed out of the place.  But seeing such wonderfully made kits will serve as inspiration to me as to what can be achieved with a little TLC.

Thanks!

Regional shows usually have a good turn out of vendors. The Nationals has a turn out as big as the kit display itself (maybe bigger). Heck, even our monthly chapter meetings, while they don't have vendors, per se, have a good swap meet of members thinning out the stash and other opportunists for those who are on the prowl for a bargain.

Every Show I've attended over the years has had  a good representation of Dealers.  The larger the Show, the more there are.  You can usually get a pretty good deal price wise & it's fun just scanning through all the kits displayed looking for that elusive oldie you've been yearning for.  Bring cash as many don't take credit cards & some won't take personal checks.

Hi guys!

I've never been to a big IPMS contest before.  I'm planning/hoping to go to the one in Madison, WI in April.  I think I've heard people talk about all the good products they purchased from the vendors who show up.  I was wondering if all contests have vendors there.  That way I'll know if I should just be excited to go or if I should be EXTRA excited.

Thanks!

Eric
