Yeah really cool.  I'm a bit surprised by all of the Star Wars news over the past week.  The new Episode VII trailer, the leak of the Star Wars Rogue One trailer (that seems to be taken care of, I can't find it anywhere anymore), and the trailer for the second season of Star Wars Rebels.  It seems to be a good time to be a Star Wars fan.

Gotta be honest; I was DONE with Star Wars when they put those damned talking, armor-wearingTeddy bears in the trees for the sole purpose of marketing something to the kids for Christmas. Those scenes were excruciating to sit through, even as a teenager.

Karl, not a fan of the Ewoks, huh?  I remember seeing somewhere that Lucas wanted that to be the Wookie home planet but the special effects would not give him what he wanted and he settled for Ewoks instead.

Personally, I cannot wait for the new movies, I just hope they stay true to the original feel and not get too Disneyed.  When I watch the new trailer, I feel like that X-Wing pilot.  Can't wait.

I’ll pay for it dearly the next day but I’m sure I’ll be in attendance should they have a midnight showing at my local theater. I must say I got goose bumps when I saw Han and Chewie in the latest trailer!  You know, as a 7 year-old, I’ll never forget just how big and ominous those AT-AT’s looked on-screen back in the summer of 80!  Great memories.

Karl, I don't blame your for the Ewoks.  But then again, I was one of those little kids they were designed for and I loved them at the time.  As I got older I grew to hate them.  Now that I'm an adult though, I can see how much all the movies were aimed at kids, and at the same time I can have fun watching the movies with my son.

I experienced a bit of nostalgic giddiness when I watched the trailer.  I've always been a Star Wars nerd and I always will be.

When I was a Kid and watched Star Wars I liked the Storm troopers.  Especially the Bikers and Snow-troopers.  I hated the rebels. LOL   An ewok would make for a funny pet though!

The new movie looks pretty killer though!

Funny, can't say I was crazy for the Ewoks, I think it was Lucas's attempt to sew up the teddy bear market like he did action figures, but I can take or leave them. The pre-sequel films pretty much killed the series for me. I can't say I was much of a fan of Vader but at least he was intimidating whenever he was on screen. Thanks Lucas for turning him into a whiny, cry-baby, emo boy... I can't even watch the original movies now without expecting Vader to start a whiny little temper tantrum.

I had high hopes for the new films till I found out J.J. Abrams is directing. The second so-called 'Trek' movie he did was possibly the second worst film I've ever seen. I mean really at what they're spending they couldn't even be bothered to make a new movie!?! I've seen all this before- it was called 'The Wrath of Khan' the first time around. I'm wondering if Abrams intends to just remake 'The Empire Strikes Back' again with loads of gee-whiz CGI effects???

Sorry about the rant guys!!!
