The USS Grayback has been found off the shores of Okinawa.  Sunk in early 1944, the Tambor class submarine was hit by a 500 lb bomb from a B5N.  Efforts to find the sub were thwarted by a misplaced digit in the location supplied by the Japanese.

May the men of the USS Grayback rest in peace, and well done!

All gave some. Some gave all.

Rest In Peace sailors.

at least now their epitaph is more than  "overdue, presumed lost".
