Funny Thing G. T.:

I too, will miss the man who brought light into a heart darkened by the loss of three very special loved ones over the years. When you are 71 like me  ,you realize you have gone on and left others in the past and heart.

This is difficult for a person  .Now that said, Robin was  , to me, the light at the end tunnel of an always changing emotional roller- coaster. He will be missed .I wonder though .Why has the media failed to mention JumanJi, often, as one of his accomplishments ? I had my sides hurting laughing at that one .

He will be remembered fondly by those of us who were doubtful a stand- up could break the spell of battle .He didn't break it , He shattered it  ! !   R.I.P. Robin ! !         T.B.

Durr, I understand depression as it's hereditary in my family. Thank God for Prozac, Welbutrin and medical cannabis. :)

Bruno Kirby died at 57. J. T, Walsh died at 56. At least Forest Whitaker is still with us. Makes it hard to watch that movie.

I think that the really impressive thing about his work was his ability to do a gut-busting funny stand-up routine, and play a psychopath in One Hour Photo and on L&O Special Victims. Very few have that kind of range.

I read online on a related article on Robin Williams. He still has not 2 movies, but 4 movies total coming out to theaters between now and thru 2015.

Very, very sad. He was a terrific comedian and a great actor.

I loved him in Mrs. Doubtfire and Good Morning Vietnam. RIP Robin.

at least he  is at rest      no one but he knew what tortured him       it shows money/fame  do not mean everything     imagine the ones left here that are depressed  like he and have nothing  no money /fame etc                                            sad as it is i am in a way happy for him    none of you will agree unless you are or know depression

I have seen most of his movies except Patch Adams and Dead Poet's Society. I know he has one movies due out called The Angriest Man in the World (or something like that) and thought he may have another out soon. Not sure...

RIP Indeed, very sad.

Had the pleasure of being in his company & as GMorrison suggests, a very genuine, warm & kind guy.

Lots of great films & much good humour from a guy that was easy to relate with. Don't really know why, but I've always loved Bicentennial Man.

I got the news of his death from  my wife. I am devastated over his death. Yeah, I'm man enough to cry over it. This is hard to take since the passing of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. The world has lost a great comedian and actor of our time. RIP Robin...

I have been a fan of his since his first appearance on Happy Days,,,,,,right up until the sitcom he had last TV season.

Anyone that can play the range from Mork to Patch Adams,,,,with a side trip to turning a Playboy article into a movie,,,,,that is just raw talent.  I hope some of his various out takes get put together into a tribute,,,,,some of that stuff is funnier than the scripted part, and you can bet that some of his improv was used on screen in place of the writer's intended humor.

RIP Robin, you will be missed,,,,,and thank you for all the times you made me laugh.

Very sad and I agree, damned funny. He was a parent at the same school my daughter went to in K, 1 and 2. I met him a few times at fundraisers where he somehow always ended up the emcee. Had a very quirky personality but seemed to be a genuine person, very kind.

Remember when he got the cantaloupe out of Mindys grocery bag?

"Slam dunk, Meadowlark!" and threw it down on the floor. Totally improv.

A friend of mine saw him at the Holy City Zoo. Before his act, he ran into the room with an apron on and yelled "Arafat, party of 4,000: your table is ready!".
