I miss fall. Been over here in one of the sandbox nations in the Middle East for a few years now, and the temp is almost not hitting 100 deg.
That sounds really nice actually!!
I'm up in Toronto Canada, and I personally enjoy the Fall and Winter. I really like all of the seasons, as I have different interests depending on the season:
Summer - playing tennis, general outdoor stuff, smoking a cigar on a warm evening on the back deck, playing with my kids in the backyard, summer beers
Winter - hockey (playing and watching), sledding with the kids, winter beers (dark ales and stouts), and modelling.
Fall and summer are my favorite seasons. Temps between 45 and 75. No heat or A/C needed. No coats. Shorts and tee shirts are usually good enough. But once the temps go below 40 or above 80, I'd just as soon stay in the house.

Been colder than normal around Northern Illinois lately.
Thankfully, I was able to put a clear coat on my 1:1 auto in time.
Next: the 1/25th scale stuff.
It is as of 9:59 tonight.
It's not that I'm looking forward to winter as they are very long up here, but there is a certain ambiance working at the bench with the wood stove chuckling along, the dog on his rug, some sort of toddy in the mug, and it snowing just outside the windows. I whine and complain about the cold, the wind, and the ice, but it is kinda nice not being able to do anything outside and being "forced" to concentrate on the models.

......precisely the reason for my comment..............
Up here in Green Bay, it was 45 degrees this morning with a high of 56 forecasted for later today. Tonight it's supposed to get down to 40. Yep, fall is definitely in the air!
I, for one, look forward to this time of year. Time for us to beat the Bears again!

I've never been certain if the majority of Chicago football fans look forward to football season..................

Ha ha! Sweating is the biggest problem as I AB in the garage with both large doors open and a fan on at full speed. I have to AB in the morning before the sun hits the front of the house otherwise it's like an oven and just too hot to work. My moisture trap does a great job at removing the humidity from the compressed air but I try not to AB on rainy days.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
Does that adversely affect how you do your airbrushing ?
Besides sweating all over the kits, that is.
When I lived in South Florida we had two seasons, hot and hotter! Now in Central Florida and the temps are a bit less hotter that further south but these last couple of weeks the heat index has been in the triple digits! The humidity is terrible and you sweat just standing in the shade. Winter where the heck are you!!
I agree Vance. All the modeling I have practically ever done was in the fall/winter months as I am busy with other things in the spring/summer. I hope to get back to it this fall/winter as I am kind of getting the itch after being away from it for several years.

What's gonna fall ?
Rain -Puuleeeeze , Parched here in TEXAS Hill country ! Our one surviving tree only knows two states . Lotsa leaves and healthy looking or looking dead and no leaves ! T.B. P.S. I almost feel the pain too.
Well, Labor Day is two weeks away and I won't be unhappy about an extra day off to rest.
I am not looking forward to more salt on Illinois roads to rust my car.....................
.
No offence, but BOOOO!!
After suffering through the winter we had last year, I won't be ready for summer to end for another several months!

I'm not a big football junkie anyway, so I don't lose much bench time to that. Holidays however, always seem to slow things down.

Bish Sprue-ce Goose .....and post holiday diets............ Unfortunately, in Illinois it also means the start of the pothole season So you have those as well. Ours usually starts around the beginning of January and finishes towards the end of Dec.

Absolutely - I have several winters' worth of European goodies laid away.
...............But have you stored away enough nuts French and Swedish models to get through the winter?
I feel something like a groundhog looking for his shadow in the spring! Summer tends to be filled with family events, some travel, and a crazy softball schedule that all conspires to keep me away from the bench. Looking forward to the change of seasons that will allow me some regular bench time again!
