Hey guys sorry I haven't posted anything in a while due to school and stuff like that. I currently don't have any what ifs in the making but I will in the spring / summer.

hogfanfs

I like the idea!

And I have a couple upcoming projects that would fit this category. Granted it will be a few months before I can post anything.

May not be a bad idea to post this in the group builds forum. Just a thought.

i have 2 crazy ones in mind, one is just a paint job the other is a serious goof build which will be a lot of fun.

I've had in mind a F-14 and F-106 in Japanese and Taiwanese markings. Course the Japanese Six would have to have the Six Shooter mod since the rule there is no nukes.

What if models can be fun. I have far too many ideas racing around in my head right now to settle on any one subject.

Yah, that sounds like a good one. What ifs doesn't just apply to paint but also to fictional machines and prototypes. So yes to the original question and have fun!!

How about a totally made up what if?  Something I have always wondered is what if the X-Wing was upgraded and made even maneuverable in atmosphere by sweeping the wings forward?  Keep everything else pretty much the same and keep the overall span about the same, but with the longer and more tapered wings.  What do you think?

Yep, I remember seeing it and I probably have it some where unless I threw it out while cleaning my room.

Conky, sorry it took so long for me to answer; yes, I did a story on HairSpray with an old Chevy Nomad rustbucket. I want to say that I think it was in November 2008?

How that looks like a car finish that would look good even when dirty and wet ! Makes me want to paint my 1:1 scale Kia Sedona van like that ! .

Many years ago I made the Monogram 1/48 scale B-58 Hustler. I painted it in the Vietnam era camouflage scheme. The USAF has never admitted that the B-58 was used in Vietnam. I painted my model this way based on the description i received from a USAF ground crew member who serviced the Hustler's in Vietnam. When he saw my model, he described it was a perfect replica of the ones he serviced.

When ever I look at a Mini Cooper S, I'm reminded of my favorite game Shox, thet was the car I would always use.

It went together smoothly but the clear parts were hard to get out and I cracked the windows. But overall it was fun. Propeller Propeller Propeller Propeller Propeller Toast

There's a great page on Facebook called "Panzer 1946" that is dedicated to all kinds of theoretical mash-ups of tanks. Some of them get a bit ridiculous at times, but there's also some fabulous, thought-provoking work on it by some real masters.

I had already planned on a "Lizard camo" F-22.

But then you got me thinking.

What would a Navy F-15E look like that if it is apart of VF-84 or VF-103 Jolly Rogers?

I'm glad you posted this! This is going to be some fun!

What If Models
Posted by Conky on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 11:24 AM

Hello, Conky here posting the "What If Models" section. This section has a Group Build mentality but has no deadline. Here you can post all your What If models progress or finished model pics. A what if model is a model that you make to be unlike anything else like an Army Mini or a japanese sopwith pup ect...

Enjoy
