yes it is. i get encouragement here to improve techniques and try new ones which have really improved my building. i am not afraid to try new things and branch out into new genres because anything i learn will crossover. i like fair but strong critiques and suggestions because it makes the positive comments more significant. the amount of knowledge and experience here and in my clubs is amazing. and it's fun.

I've often found this forum to be extremely uplifting and the source of much inspiration.  It really is like a big support group especially when you find yourself in a funk or faced with a problem that really leaves you scratching your head. Being here reminds me of that good teacher that (hopefully) everyone had where they lifted you up and kept you interested no matter how many mistakes you made.

I'd have to say perhaps 98% of the stuff I post has been model-related but there have been the couple of instances where I came here to seek some insight into life issues from my compatriots here on FSM.  I don't hang out at bars so, for me, this is where I get to hang out with like-minded people who all seem to have good heads on their collective shoulders.
