Best Wishes & Prayers for our Allies and Friends
Posted by CodyJ on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 9:07 PM

I was up early in the morning and watching the attack on the French Magazine HQ play out. I was horrified to see this happened yet again to one of our allies. I cant help but realize this world is literally unraveling before our eyes. Australia, France, USA, Canada... Where does this end?

I know we can take for granted a lot of things including our safety. These folks that protect us, police, Armed forced, FD, and EMS deserve so much more than we can ever give them. I personally, owe my life to a number of EMS people, a pilot, many nurses/assistants and a surgeon.

With so much lose and hatred facing people now days it is hard to see anything bright on the horizon or if there is any point to looking at the horizon anymore. Seeing our Allies, Friends, and fellow countrymen attacked is getting more common and is a very sad sight.

With all this in mind, I ask that a few wishes and/or Prayers be shot the way of the people are in need of them.

Beer   Amen to that.

"Some say the alien didn't die in the crash.  It survived and drank whiskey and played poker with the locals 'til the Texas Rangers caught wind of it and shot it dead."

A terrible day and event indeed. Remember and honor the slain. Happy hunting to the French security services.

My prayers are with the families of the victims. One suspect has surrendered according to a late news report. I hope the other two are caught.

Indeed.  Apparently this morning another two French officers were shot and one now has unfortunately passed.  The two gunman are one the loose.  I seriously hope these men are caught and punished to the fullest extent.

The song "Eve of Destruction" comes to mind. "The eastern world, it is exploding.  Violence flaring, bullets Loadin'......"    The song still applies as far as that line goes, 50 year later...

I'm very glad for our Armed forces and brave folks who protect us.  I know I said it before but I cant thank 'em enough.  My friend who is an Army Ranger always says "Aw its just a job".  Typical answer from one of our heroes right?  They always say that!

As a retired LEO it hits close to home when a fellow brother is murdered, specially by a bunch of radical nuts. Unfortunately, looks like it just may get worse. My thoughts and prayers goes out to ALL victims. And many thanks to our guys and gals serving in the military.

I'm like PJ, although current LEO and with a SOF military background as well. This one hits very close to home mentally, even if it is far across the land and sea. Again I wish my French comrades Bon Chance and Happy Hunting. Two to the body and one to the head. Save the expense of a trial.
