                        I'm not so sure these stars are really gold ......................the color seems closer to a  "patinated" bronze..Hmm..........................maybe the gold plating wore off? Whistling

And yes, some folks here are best left on their own. Real life has enough challenges to elevate my blood pressure. A hobby website does not need to add to that.                         As for the star topic, anyone been here long enough to know if that aspect of forum membership was initiated from the beginning or adapted over time?

                        As far as the stars go, that was something that was revamped in the latest forum change a few years back. At one point before then, the members actual post count was displayed, as well as a physical location (which could be quite helpful when making recommendations as not all folks here are able to access Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc.)Anyways the stars were part of the last forum upgrade and their actual meaning is more arcane now. It was explained when asked about by the mods & admin types, but being such an important subject, I of course immediately forgot all that was explained...

                        To bring the actual reason the thread was started , i had no idea how to recieve or get different colors on thre stars that appeared next to the avitar, i see that i now have four stars all grey, and from the info given here i'm proud of that. I try to only post on things i'm knowledgeable about or can contribute positive feedback so the stars i have earned are for being a positive part of this community, if they never change color i'm cool with that. Just having a little fun.

                        I always thought Manny might have been lurking on this Forum under a different name- or is that not possible if you are banned  ? (Tell the truth, I cant even remember if he was banned, or left of his own accord)  Manny was a fine modeller, just a bit tactless with his critiques of others work, IMO.  (anyone remember the T-34 with snow covering ?- Manny really unloaded on the guy, said his snow was @%$#, and asked whether the tank had driven through a Moscow bakery and was actually covered in flour ?- stuff like that)  I've noticed that a few entry level-modellers have disappeared off the forum since then, and I put it down to ruthless (unhelpful) critiques by Manny and others.  There are certainly less flame wars here now than when I joined 7 years ago- but unfortunately you lose some personalities in the process.

                        I get it Milairjunkie, the guy infront of you behind the scenes runs the program on automatic while changing  gears to ensure said program  is not publishied but for everyone to know, however I heard the laughing dog made a  mess in the garage which put him on the top of the bottom list making way for the middle man who was actually the front runner to become dead last.                         I know a man, who knows a dog, who knows a man that is aware of Manstiens location since he gave up masquerading as the "Man from Del monte".
                         
                        The man has informed me that he may be in Argentina somewhere, but is adamant that he can't tell me any more as he would have to kill me - apparently using the "middle man" laughing dog to carry out the task. The laughing dog is rumoured to report to the other man who is on the edge rather than in the middle.
