Yep, trees are an overated concept!
My neighbor had a really huge one that I urged her to take out for years.
Finally comes the windy night, we were awaken by a huge blue flash, zappy energy humming, and power goes out. I run out front an can feel the juice in the air.
Her house was on fire so I banged on her door until her boyfriend came out. When he realized I wasn't there to pick a quarrel, he got her out.
The tree took down 300 feet of line, two poles, closed the highway down the hill from her, and we didn't have power for 48 hours.
But...the tree was gone.
I'm glad no harm done.
