Yesterday, May 7th was to 100 year anniversary of the sinking of the Lusitania, and the start of the US entry into WWI, after Germany started unrestricted submarine warfare later after giving it up when the outcry over the Lusitania erupted. "Lest we forget"

Smithsonian had a show on earlier this week dealing with the sinking and the exploration of the wreck,I enjoyed it.

Watched it as well, better than the "breaking news" story of the freeways shut down at rush hour last night during rush hour for the Presidents arrival.

"Dead Wake" was an excellent book, and I highly recommend it for anyone with even a passing interest in WWI and the Lusitania. There were some very interesting insights on Churchill and Jackie Fisher in there that I hadn't seen before.

Yeah !

Both the program and the book are really good in their insight into that terrible event .
