 Concerning the dear, departed Defense Minister (who needs a Minister of De Fence, anyway?  ):  If I had read that he had been fed to wild dogs, I would be more surprised.  Probably all the wild dogs have been eaten in NK by now.

Hope they gave the poor guy a blindfold... Apparently part of his crime was falling asleep during a military parade... Did sales of No-DOZ in the DPRK just go through the roof ?

Not that new, a year or two ago he had his...uncle?...or some such important person and their family executed by flamethrowers. I'm not sure the DPRK can do much that would surprise me anymore, unfortunately.

Hadda be something their gunners couldn't miss with...

That would be messy indeed.... Definitely overkill when compared to more traditional methods of execution.

Dare to say that it is not new neither it is entirely their idea. Execution by cannon was fairly common practice in the old days, before airplane was invented so no AA then.
