The C-47 is most likely Whiskey Seven from the Geneseo Air Museum right here in Rochester area.

How would I know? Look for the 7 on the nose and a large W.

Did you get a chance to step inside the C-47? I know you can in Whiskey Seven when I saw her in last year's Rochester Air Show. I didn't go in but I paid for my son's admission to step inside. I was too busy enjoying the Harrier demo from my vantage point while he was inside Whiskey Seven. LOL!

Sounds like a good show though. the one I really want to go is the one in Reading, PA. they have it every June and one of the biggest in the Northeast. A WW2 re-enactment type show including tanks and aircraft of WW2. They even have a dinner show with big band dancing and music of the 40s.

The lines to get in everything were really long.  Couldn't be bothered.  One of the dads I was with went through the B-17

That's the only negative thing about going to large airshows - the lines are so long to go through an aircraft that it takes a lot of the fun out of going. I still enjoy going for the displays and the flying; I just don;t enjoy the long lines. I try to get there as early as possible so I can at least get through a few aircraft before the crowds arrive, plus get some good pictures before there's too many folks around to get good shots.
