Revell/Monogram---KUDOS

I'm building the Monogram 1/48th AC47. I assembled the main gear tires and low and behold my glue bottle leaked in the box and ate both of them. Contacted Revell and asked for pricing and shipping on replacements and it was DEFINATELY my fault. Just got an email they are on the way. Big thank you to Revell/Monogram. That is customer service all the way.

Thanks for sharing gold, its always nice to hear about good service like this. I have had a similar result with a couple of companies when it was my own fault.

I bought a Revell kit from ebay which didn't contain the decal sheet. As it was a charity buy I didn't bother with a refund but on the off chance contacted Revell and explained that it was a second hand kit. I got an email today to say the decal sheet has been despatched, no questions asked. Great customer service.

I have had similar great service from them for kits I bought at out IPMS distressed kit auctions. Or on parts I have lost from my own doh's. Only Tamiya gives the same level of service in my experience.

Well;

    My experience has been about the same . BUT back in 1998 I bought an AMT 56 Ford Crown Victoria .The steering wheel had been short shotted . Worst experience with customer service I ever had . Revell and Revell of Germany and the rest awesome results .

    Even EDUARD with P.E. which was definitely my fault .Told the problem , asked the price and the call was finished  .A week later new PE . The Whole Set ! On the invoice , No Charge !

I wish I could say the same but my last customer service experience with Revell was terrible. Took the guy two weeks to respond to each and every email I sent, with six weeks total time to get what I needed finally mailed to me. Who does that? This isn't 1964. Most email etiquette I've read (and I'm a writer--I've read a lot) requires a reply within 24 hours. Especially if you are a business and a customer has taken the time to communicate with you. The majority of the kits in my stash are Revell. I'm a loyal customer because they make decent stuff that doesn't break the bank. But sheesh. Show respect for that and take contemporary communication methods seriously.

Sorry. Done ranting.

I have always enjoyed and appreciated excellent customer service from Revell/Monogram. In my experience it's as good as it gets. Kudos indeed!
