Hey everyone! First, I want to thank you for the thoughts and prayers, and kind words during these trying times. Many thanks to you all! A special thank you to my mate Bish! He did not hesitate to help a brother out when everything went down....you sir are awesome! Thank you for everything my friend!
Not to drag the post down, but get everyone updated....my wife of 25 wonderful years passed away on April 1st. She had been battling cancer for over 3 years and well, she fought like no one I have ever seen. I spent 21 years in the military going through some nasty stuff and NEVER saw anyone fight with such tenacity as she did....she is truly my hero. We have 2 children (4 and 12 now) and being a single parent is probably the scariest thing I have done in my life! Try to make a long story short...we lived in Vermont and with 2 kids, I needed some serious family support, so I'm back home in Florida! I work for the government (National Weather Service) still and am in the process of transfering down here. I'm TDY here now until I get the job (officially). As usual with the government....it is taking a long time! But it should happen and that is what matters for the kids.
So I'm starting to get back into doing things....not easy and not very successful so far, but trying none the less. One of the first things I was determined to do was get back on the forums! Now I probably won't be posting many pics of any builds....I have nothing here from Vermont. My household goods won't be shipped until I'm on orders to PCS here. I'm trying to figure out how to get all my modeling tools and stuff shipped here, but with so many paints and chemicals, not sure how to go about doing it...any suggestions will be appreciated. I will be doing my best to post again. Some days are good, some are bad, some are really bad. But, we will adapt and overcome. I will give everyone one piece of advice.....when you get done reading this...go give your spouse a big hug and kiss! You just never know!
So enough of the sad stuff. Man, there has been some incredibly awesome work done here since I dropped off the face of the earth! I must say, it is inspiring to say the least!
Thank you all again for the support and understanding!
