Ya beat me to it GM. To all vets out there, enjoy the day as best you can, see if you can get one of the many complimentary meals that are offered by various restaurants, (boy I remember when those did not happen), and think of those still out there around the world still serving our great nation.

Second that, Stick and GM. To all of the brave and dedicated Americans that went into harms way in service of the USA, our forever gratitude and best wishes. For those that came home injured, we hope for you the best possible care and rehabilitation.

For those that did not come home, we honor your lives and service forever. Our heroes, America's finest.

For those serving today, please be as careful as you can and watch each others backs. We want you to come home safe and well, when your mission is complete.

We salute you, one and all.

Ditto here. Sad thing, I couldn't find any green light bulbs to put on my front porch light post to honor our Veterans. I saw only 2 green lights lit up in my neighborhood.

What's this about green lights? I have never heard anything of the sort before. At Christmastime I put up red and green lights. (and of course I gave it the left and right treatment a la ships & aircraft) No red only, I've been somewhere where that's very naughty.

To all my fellow vets, men and women, and those wearing the colors today, THANK YOU for your service and sacrifices over the years spent under the colors.

To those that gave all, know that you are in my thoughts every day, not just one day a year.

All of you are the best people on earth.

It's something Walmart is doing:

We need to spread this message across the USA in honor of our veterans. Next year, I'll make damn sure I have a green light on my front porch.

Sometimes I feel as if I'm about the only non-veteran here.

Tonight I joined my buddy, a Vietnam gunship driver, for his free meal at Golden Corral. (Yes, I paid my own way).

I was overwhelmed at the experience. A small sampling of vets, men, women, young and old just from our little community. Hard to put into words. I felt honored to be in the same room with everyone, if not a bit embarrassed .....and completely humbled.

I just jumped on here to share my experience and to say thank you to all of you vets. So thank you. Sincerely.

Thank you to all veterans. I lost my cousin in the final days of World War II. I can never forget what you veterans do to make all of us safe.

Can't say enough to thank our vets. We wouldn't be the great country without your service.
