Chuck Davis

Brian, I'm so sorry.  There's a lot of cool model buddies shown here.  It's sad to know "one of own" is gone.  One of the toughest days I've had was having to put down Casey, our yellow lab, back in 2008.  Still get misty eyed...

Luckily, I'm blessed with two more model buddies now.  Both goofy, but so sweet.  Our "bookends" are Murphy (left) and Marcy (right).  One or the other will come down by the bench and "moo" for me to play some tug with them.  Great pics and stories everyone!

oOh my god, that's such a cute pic!

Plots of cute, lovable doogs in this thread. It does my heart good, I don't know why.... :)

Although they very rarely enter the model room, this is Bronson and Sierra Delta; S.D. - S*** Disturber or Stinky Dog (when she gasses one).  Both nicknames are equally well earned and deserved.  Both are golden retrievers with the same lineage.  Bronson will be 14 in two months.  Sierra is now five months old.  This photo was taken shortly after we brough her home in October.

Retired and living the dream!

Well here they are: Idiot 1 and Idiot 2. God bless 'em both!

They are both gone now as of last year. Sweet Pea on the left just left us about 6 months ago and Scooter on the right has been gone now for over a year. Both were 17 when they passed. Cool dogs and I really miss 'em both.

BUT .................they've been both survived by an even bigger......... Idiot 3. Bear is a cool dog and gets up with me every morning at around 3:30-3:45 to accompany me in the modeling room. He is a very kicked back and loyal friend.

Here he is next to Scooter ....

That would be Mister Pickles Smile

He is the only Bengal I've been around so I don't know if he is typical of the breed, but he is a very doglike cat, although I wouldn't dare tell him that.

Bruce,

LOL....Max is awesome. If you could read his mind.... the quote " Man I hope he doesn't think I'm going to move" or "It's about time" or "I had all the intensions of coming". Great photo of Max.

none of mind came into the bunker when i was modeling. they would curl up in the study when i was working (technical illustration on the computer).

been 2 years since the last one Forest, black lab mixed died, and we are thinking it's time for a new rescue. haven't been without a dog for this long since 1981. i will have to rearrange book shelves as i will lose the second from the bottom shelves (wagging tail(s))

wow 1981. sometimes i type these dates in and have to pause to realize how old i am.Big Smile

Heres my little girl Dolores, on guard duty with my grandson. When my little guy comes over she never leaves his side. Dee's half King Charles Cavalier and half Poodle, Cavapoo I guess.

Steve and Fermis,

I absolutely love your recent photos of your buddies. You two have great friends to enjoy. Fermis...."Dug" is totally at peace and adorable.

Steve....Dallas is looking great at HIS chair....you need to get him his own kits. The look on his face...."Yooo pops is mom going to be home soon....I'm hungry for some bacon"

Aaron,
We have 2 cats, but they don't look as cool as your tiger, and certainty wouldn't humble themselves to walk on a lease.
I snapped a new picture of Dallas yesterday sitting on HIS chair in my hobby room. He uses that chair to watch for mom and/or dad to get home. He's looking for mom now.

Aaronw

Well I'm going to break the canine trend

This is Pickles

I'm not a cat guy...but that is one cool lookin cat!

At one of the properties I used to deer hunt at, there was a cat like that, that would show up from time to time. I really enjoyed taunting it with the string that I used to hoist my weapon up into the stand with. I got it to climb the ladder a couple times and sit in my lap...cool cat!

In other news...the "Dug" actually came down into the war room the other night to hang out with dear old dad! (right under the bench!)

Well here are my two four legged furry freinds............ Neither really qualifies as a "bench buddy" as my workbench is in the garage and these two would rather be in the house on the carpet or furniture where it's comfy and where everybody else is...

Chewy is a Golden Retriever who turned 10 back in October. Leia is a Chihuahua mix that my youngest found as an abandoned puppy in late August, and she is about 6 months old now. They make a good pair.

lol, that's a great shot!

Brian,

I can't speak for Karl....but I don't think he ment any disrespect with his comments. I believe he was just informing us of the different types of tones his dog makes. I know you and your family are going through a tough time right now...it brakes my heart knowing you have lost a huge part of your life. Nothing I could say to ease or bring Brandy back. I guess I could say that your not alone.....all of us are thinking of you during this time.

No, I didn't take anything he said to be offensive or anything. ANd of course I didn't mean anything other than what it seems. And I understand what he was saying about the "PC Police' not getting on his back for saying what he said about Germans. Much ado about nothing. Smile

Chuck,

Your two buddies are wonderful....I love'em. And great names for them. I get tickeled every time Boomer nudges me for attention or wanting to play. Brian....I'm laughing at your last comment about your fur balls.....cat's are a funny lot...very independent and almost stuck up. We had one once and all she did was sleep....too lazy to do anything else.
