In the Memphis area, we went from a half-foot of snow forcasted to hardly an inch in reality all within 12 hours. They couldn't forcast a sunny day if they were standing out in itLightning

Seems tuh me ya forget that weather forecasting is only accurate when predictions are made about weather 50 years or more in the future.Wink

Gotta give 'em some slack about current weather models.Whistling

Hey do you know Como MS?

A friend of mine is from there. Worked for FedEx for years.

Forecasters on one station here are pretty fair, but I still rely on the weather rock on the sidewalk by the door.....If you can't see it-snow, wet-rain,too cold to touch-freezing, too hot to touch, sunny...Toast

Hey, G, yeah, I know Como! It's a couple of counties down from me. I worked in Senatobia for a few years, so I have met some folks from there. Decent steakhouse there or so I've heard. Your friend would probably sound perfectly normal to me. Then again, I talk like the hillbilly bear cartoon character...

No kidding.  I took a day off expecting the worst and it just looked like a heavy frost.  Glad it missed us but I could do without all of the sensationalism the weathermen dish out.

And the Como Steak House is worth the drive!
