I've seen all three, Blue Angles, T-Birds, and snowbirds over the past 30 years (so I saw different aircraft used). They're all great but I have to say I would put the T-Birds #1, Blue Angles #2 and Snowbirds#3. For no other reason than the aircraft.....the F-16's are just more impressive in my book. I try to position myself near their flight line.....I like the "ceremonial start-up"....at Pittsburgh one year one of the T-Birds ingested some "garbage" during start-up and they flew the two-seater.....At Latrobe (PA) the T-Birds fly out of Pittsburgh while the Blue Angles and Snowbirds use Latrobe......something about the runway ???????....The low altitude shows are nice, but can't compare to the "clear day" show....a few clouds are nice because the background adds to the sensation of speed.
On a side note, when the "G-10" was in Pittsburgh, Presdient Obama left Pittsburgh for New York and by dumb chance "Air Force One" flew right over our house (at about 2k feet by my estimate). That was impressive, the color scheme and markings were quite visible.
See Ya!
5k feet by my estimate)
Saw the Angels and got pictures when they were flying the F-11 Tigers. Didn't have a very good camera system then.
I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.
I think I read that the Snowbirds will be at EAA Oshkosh this coming year...saw them there years ago.
I can't believe it's true, but I'm old enough to remember seeing the T-Birds in F-4's...lottsa noise!

A few years ago, I worked in Jupiter FL for a Sikorsky supplier. Every year they would have the Stuart Air show, and the military planes from the show would stay at the Sikorsky airfield. Before the airshow they would have practice runs that we were allowed to watch. It was like having our own semi private airshow. Really cool seeing F-18's and F-22's flying overhead. I know they weren't the Thunderbird's or Blue Angel's, but, it was still really cool.

Yeah, I've seen the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels many times, from the mid 70s until the late 90s when they did all the base closures. I even saw a Canadian team at March AFB (when it was still an active SAC base) the year all the Thunderbirds died in that terrible training accident. This upcoming show will be a nice return to that tradition on hold for so long.

goldhammer T birds twice once in 73 when they still had Phantoms
T birds twice once in 73 when they still had Phantoms
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
T birds twice once in 73 when they still had Phantoms and again in 75 IIRC, and Blue Angles at the Reno Races back about 70.
Angels and Snowbirds, but I've never seen the T-birds AFAICR.
Snowbirds are going to be in Michigan June 22. Had a chance for free tickets, but it's a Wednesday and I can't make it. Would like to see them someday. I've seen either the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds every year for the last five years.
Yeah, I am really looking forward to October when the whole team will be here!
Great video Stik,
HB looks awesome just as I remebered it from a family visit. The sound and sight of that awesome bird was outstanding. Thanks for sharing.

Seeing the "teams" doing practice, seems far better than the actual shows. I've only seen the T-birds twice, at shows...and both times had a low overcast, so they were very limited. I've caught the Blue Angels PRACTICE 3 times (the show 5-6 times)...once at Pensicola (back when they still had A-4's), once in Traverse City MI, and again down in Kansas City. Seems like they fly lower and faster than in the shows.
My son & I went to the Rochester Air Show back in 2014 where the Thunderbirds were performing. It was my first time seeing them in over 20 years and my son's first time seeing them. It was simply awesome! Rumor has it the Blue Angels are coming to Syracuse this summer. I haven't seen them perform in over 20 years too.
The one team I have never seen are the Canadian Snowbirds. I've been wanting to see them for years. I'd love to see the Red Arrows come to the US to perform.
modelcrazy Cool vid Stick. I went to your channel, we apparently have similar tastes in music LOL.
Scary, huh

a Thunderbird!!!
Last night my other half showed me a Facebook posting on our city's website that Thunderbird 8 would be making an appearance overhead around 10am today in preperation for our first ever air show in this town. So I planned my morning ride accordingly to take me where I was most likely to see him. I was not disappointed as shortly after 10 am the sound of freedom was heard (jet noise by fast movers!) I was treated to my first time in over a decade of seeing a Thunderbird in action. Albeit more tame than I have seen them at times, but a nice preview of what is to come this fall when the real show will be here with LOTS more noise!
Here is a link to the FB page for the show in case anybody here will be in there area at that time (with much better photos)
