Yesterday I stopped at the WAAAM museum in Hood River, OR to get some pics. They mostly have aircraft, Cars, and motorcycles from the teens to the 40's, and some newer muscle cars. The real reason was to get pics of the Staggerwing. Found out it was on loan, and was sold. They didn't have the funds to purchase nor could they find support from any doners to purchase it, so it is no longer there.
Lesson learned and to pass on......TAKE PICS WHEN YOU HAVE THE CHANCE.....may never come again.
Anyway, in the gift shop ran across two cardstock 1/32 PMI kits (Paper Models International), P-51D and P-40 for $5.00 each. Grabbed both of them with both hands like I was daring someone to try and pry them loose.
Never fooled with paper/cardstock stuff before so will be interesting in the future.
Also found a book, picture/short bio on each, of aircraft at the USAF Museum, for the $5.00 price. Needless to say it found it's way into my bag as I left. Wallet was a little lighter but that is OK......
