Alright FSM - Guess I gotta go public!

FSM,

I never received the May issue of FSM. I've left three emails via your online contact form (rather difficult to find btw) and was assured someone would get back to me "soon" (over a month, no replies).

I've called twice. Talked to someone. Explained the situation. Said I receive my missing copy. No such luck. Again, over a month.

At nearly $40/year, I'd like my missing magazine. After all, I *DO* enjoy each issue! :)

Can anyone help me out here??

Thanks!

Ive had problems with receiving my copies too.  Still do.

Customer service has been really good at trying to address the issues (pun) and sent a number of replacement copies. Last issue I received was March, I think.

I dont blame FSM though. I think its got more to do with their local service provider/courier. Sigh.

I used to get my new copy almost as soon as they posted it at the top of the page. Now it takes me a couple of weeks, so far I haven't missed one though. My new copy got to me yesterday.

That's why I don't subscribe to FSM amgazine. Too many stories of folks not getting their issues while store already have them on their shelves. I'd rather buy an issue I'm interested in then get it in the mail. Besides, $30 is a lot of money for a year subscription. Just sayin'... If they lower it down to $20 or less, I'd consider it. Most of my magazine subscriptions are under $20 anyways.

Ditto

That’s why I subscribe to the electronic version. It's not as fun a paper copy, but I get to read the articles, and storage is a lot easier.

Edit:
Actualy I just noticed my subscripiton needs renewal and they want $40 for the digital version as well now. Forget that.

That's called GREED. Still a lot of money for a subscription - digital or paper.

Just got a mail offer yesterday for $29 (print version) and I had just renewed as mine now expires in March of '17.

Rowen,

Thanks for letting us kow about your problem. I am passing your message on to someone here who can address the problem quickly and directly. If anyone else is having problems receiving an issue, let me know and I'll see if we can get it dealt with.

BlackSheep,

The price of the subscription breaks down to $40 for a 680 page book which is pretty good value.

Regards, Aaron

Why have a subscription? - just go to the website! I don't understand magazine subscriptions by "digital delivery" going through your email, or whatever. You can join, and ask question immediately, and get a response fairly quick, mingle with other members, share their thoughts, experiences, pictures, etc.

For those of us in Alaska, we always have our magazine 2 weeks behind everybody else.  Here it is the 10th of June, and still no magazine.  It has been at Barnes & Noble and Fred Meyers for 2 weeks now.  I should just read it at the rack as I would get it faster than getting a subscription.  And I tried an electronic subscription, but it was worthless as I couldn't print off any articles, and I didn't really own it being it was on a hosting website.  I wish they could just send it out as a PDF for everyone on a subscription.

Finally here today.  That is a new record for lateness.  I tried the electronic version a year ago, but it is bad because you can't print out any articles.

I had the same problems with FSM this year when my subscription was set to expire in April. I sent in my payment in early March and never recieved the April or May issues. I sent no less than 4 emails to Kalmbach Customer Service, each time saying they would look into it. When I advised I was going to attempt a refund of the payment and cancel my subscription I miraculously received a reply advising that my account had been updated and the subscription had been extended two months to cover the two missing issues. This is all fine and good, but it's disappointing that it took that kind of action to get a resolution.
