Not doing too well!
Posted by Cobra 427 on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 3:06 PM

I know that no one here wants to read bad news all the time whether it be from the news on T.V., the paper, or here, but I haven't been feeling too well lately. My lungs hurt, and my heart hurts. My lungs have been hurting since my baby kitty died last week. I haven't been eating, or drinking enough to keep a bird alive, and now my internal organs hurt as well. It even hurts every time I inhale. We've been fighting to keep the baby alive with all that we had while fighting a losing battle! I felt that the vet was right when he said she might not live, but I didn't know just how long she would last in the expectation that she would die soon. This is why I took as many pictures as I could of my miracle baby before her time would come. I didn't know that this would affect me so hard, but lately I don't care about eating no matter how hungry I get. I force myself to drink for the fear of dehydration as I don't feel thirsty either.

I haven't had time to see anyone about the depression that has now set in. I'm afraid that I might have damaged organs now from not drinking enough. I already felt bad when my grandmother died, but now I have a double whammy! Two losses in four months is a lot more than I can take obviously. I think I feel my health failing.

I'm sorry if I was a wet blanket to the other members here as I've been using the forum to release my frustrations when I shouldn't have. This won't happen anymore, especially if I don't live to see the end of this month, or to the end of this year. I need to see a doctor to find out if there is any permament physical damage that might not be reversable. It may be too little, too late for me as well since my kidneys hurt, and feel swollen as do the rest of my internal organs in my body. My heart has hurt for quite a while now even before Weepy died. We have a history of heart disease in my family so it's no surprise. If this is indeed the end for me please know that I enjoyed being here, and that I hope that others here can inspire the creativity that I had hope to. I don't know what I'm going to do with the rest of my models, and tools, but as soon as I find out what's going on then I'll post my stuff for either sale, or for the price of shipping depending on the kit/tools that I part with. Thank you all for reading.

Maybe a picture of a squirrel playing a harmonica will make you feel better?

I am not gonna say the following in a mean way or spirit. I deal with people with mental health situations like yours currently on pretty much a daily basis at work. Life has thrown you some serious curve balls lately. Go get some help. Reach out to a Doctor, Clergy, Counselor, or somebody who can help you thru this. Mental anguish can lead to physical pain and issues, which you apparently have reached. If family or friends cannot see this in you or help you now, have the strength to reach out to someone who can help.

I totally agree with Stik on this, please speak to someone. There are help-lines available for individuals dealing with issues such as these. Nobody is saying these things to be mean or disrespectful, they are trying to point you in a direction to help you.

That goes for me in agreement stik and jelliot. Go seek help from a professional, not here on FSM. You need to get your life in order ASAP! You're not gonna get the professional help you need here.

Sometimes when you get close to a group like FSM it can prevent you from making decisions that are in your best interest, such as seeking profssional help.  Even if some of us are qualifed to help you the Forum is NOT the right place to seek or receive the kind of help it seems that you need right now. I would hate for you to continue to reach out in the wrong way when we cannot provide you with the help you obviously are in need of.  The grief you are experiencing is extreme and probably not considered normal.  Now you are beginning to experience physical symptoms as a result.  Please seek professional help, in person, as soon as possible. Good luck and best of wishes.

Cobra, I really wish I could say something to help. But the other guys are right: it's pretty clear that you need some help beyond what any of us can offer via a web forum.

i used to avoid doctors. But nowadays, as my bedraggled carcass gets more decrepit, I've gotten well acquainted with quite a few of them. Medical knowledge and technology have advanced incredibly over the past few years.  I'm confident that the medics and/or shrinks can help you.

Please do seek help. We're all pulling for you. Good luck.

Chris -

You're describing real physical pain and mental anguish, nothing unheard of and very correctable. While we all wish you wellness and happiness, there is nothing material we can do. The medical professionals and counselers are the ones to get you through this, the move to seek this help will have to be made by you, the sooner the better.

Reaching out to get professional help is the path to recovery, to keep relating the feelings you are experiencing here on FSM, will ultimately lead you to more of the same.

Please make that move, your life and mental state will be better for it. I wish you the best.

We're locking this topic and handling it internally.

Thank you.
