Obscure subject with little romantic subject line theoretically. I imagine this will have little interest to women.

I saw a news story about this particular trailer. They said the guy looking at the camera (the dude about three rows back right under the "..." in your title line on the video clip in your post) looked a little too happy. You're right, though, it looks like a good movie.

Less understood campaign. It all happened under the posit of a future negotiated truce, not total war.

Never mind the whole issue of the French capitulation, the fact remains that the BEF got away with terrible but not terminal csualties.

Look forward to seeing this one.

The Ealing Studios 50's movie was good too. It has a lot of actual footage.

Will be nice to see a modern WW2 movie from the British perspective, hopefully it won't be the usually propaganda show that we tended to push out in the 50's.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

IMHO, Adolph's first blunder (Dunkirk).  With the BEF having their backs to the channel and totally overwhelmed, why the Wehrmacht stopped where they did has always baffled me. Throw in the combined efforts of the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine (had they been used as extensively as they could have) Any tactical commander worth a damn doesnt give the other side a breather when they are on the ropes.  Looking forward to the movie though.

Saw the preview prior to seeing The Suicide Squad at the theaters a couple weeks back. I whispered loudly "YES!" Movie patrons around me looked at me with strange looks. Even my son told me afterwards. Sad really. They haven't a clue what Dunkirk really is about.

I'm definitely going to see it.

When I saw the trailer before watching Star Trek a couple week ago all I needed to see was the first few seconds of the beach scene and I thought… Dunkirk. Can't wait to see it.

Ha...reminds me of my Dad. I took him to see "We Were Soldiers"...he knew Gen. Moore (he was base commander at Ft. Ord, when we were stationed there)...anyway...my Dad is very quiet and reserved...until Moore was giving his speach in the hanger and the Huey's flew across..."YE-HESSS!!!" (Dad was a Huey pilot)...he turned to me and asked..."Did that come out loud?"

Thanks for the heads up. Looking forward to see it. Maybe I take my wife and her mom, she had lost a relative there.
