Went past my local Hobby Town today, only to find it has been replaced by a cheap BBQ fast food joint.  Fooey.

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

It seems to be getting to be a habit with that company, judging from the other posts.  When was the last time you were there?

For that matter, how's the BBQ on Mars?

Well, I was there about 4 weeks ago.  I usually stop in to pick up supplies about once a month or so.  I would say I was a regular supporter of the store.

BBQ on Mars is quite different from what Earthlings are used to, as we don't have pigs here, so....other life forms are substituted.   Stick out tongue

Ours shut down years ago.  I don't even really remember them carrying a lot of model kits.  It was mostly RC stuff, like Traxxas and such.  Hubby would go there on occasion if it was too impaitent to wait on the mail, lol.  My go to now is Hobby Lobby, or online.

I hate to see it too but have accepted it as this hobby is definitely alive and well on the internet IMO.  When it comes to Hobby Lobby, they are a great place to buy automotive kits as they have a wealth of those and with that 40% off coupon I have purchased kits to use for extra parts depending on what power train and wheel/ tire combo they have. Aircraft kits or any other genre for that matter are not their strong points.

Michael's craft store is the same. Pretty decent automotive selection. But only a handful of Revellogram aircraft kits

Remind me to cancel my next trip to Mars. I heard that the best read book up there was "To Serve Man".
