Had a spring show this year. Spent the day and got my redneck on  (no, really, I need some aloe). Love me some Corsair...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!  Ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!  F4U Corsair!!!!  My favorite pic of all!  One day I'd like to see one up close like that.  You're so lucky, thank you for sharing all the photos.  You really made my day!

Ah, you know me, I always enjoy aircraft pictures! Thank's for posting! What's the story on the red machine?

Thanks, y'all. Max, that is a Canadian forces CF-18. It came with the Snowbirds, and they put on a good show. She is a really pretty bird, wish I had a camera that captured the photo passes.

Sorry Blacksheep, it came down with the birds. They still have the trainers.

Nice!

"Juliet Tango" was the first Corsair I ever saw (outside of a museum!).

Here's a shot from "Corsair row"...Thunder Over Michigan...several years ago...

Hey, Missippy! Which airport was the show held at? I used to live near the General DeWitt Spain airport on the north-west corner of Memphis. Was it there, or in Millington?

It was at Millington, at the old naval air station. It's a municipal airport now.

Yeah, that's what I've heard. I understand it also houses a regional IRS processing center, too, and a Naval Reserve unit as well. The last air show I attended there was probably 25 years ago. Fifi and Diamond Lil were on hand. Thunderbirds, too, if I remember correctly.
