Once more! With feeling!
O-H!!
This will be the first time in several years that one of my kids hasn't gotten me tickets for the game on my birthday weekend. But after the stormy Tulsa game and the 40th anniverary of Ohio State/Oklahoma I guess I could use a break. I felt like a bad luck charm with the Buckeyes losing again at home to Oklahoma but the 77 and 17 games were both great.

Sooner Born...Buckeye Bred.
DasBeav I will not mention Uwe Von Schamman.
LOL. The other "He who will not be named". He's not the only one to give the Buckeyes a black eye but probably the only one most Buckeye fans know by name. There is any number of those from the state up north.
At the '77 game, I had field seats behind the Buckeyes bench. John Havlicek was in the box seats behind us. We spent the whole game standing on our seats. That stadium was louder than any concert I went to until One Direction played "The Shoe" a few years ago. (it was a reward to my daughter for turning her grades around before we found out she's on the Autism Spectrum) My ears were ringing for a couple of days afterward. The game not the concert. I wore earplugs for the concert.
Sounds familiar. We moved to a new location this season, first deck half way up between the goal posts in the north end zone.
Stanford looked methodical, if a bit boring, in stifling USC. Two picks and did not allow a TD.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
Just looking at the stats seems turnovers and Love won that game. He did way better than he did against my Aztecs ;)
They look really good this year. Love is great, but open up that passing game.
Thanks,
John
Watched BYU upset 6th ranked Wisconsin and my mighty SDSU Aztecs take down 23rd ranked Arizona state albeit in a damned controversial ending. Go Aztecs!
Only one highlight put a huge grin on my face:

I have no interest on football. I intend to be building and listening to my music by that time. There's another contest next year.

Big game at Autzen this Saturday, between my Ducks and your Trees. Could go a long way in deciding the North. Oregon looked bored last week and you get Love back. I predict another low scoring affair.

Ya that was pretty wild. Arkansas looking questionable this year.
My Hogs are not looking so good this year.
Bruce
On the bench: 1/48 Eduard MiG-21MF
1/35 Takom Merkava Mk.I
Whew... my Aztecs pulled out a win against a pretty darned good Easter Michigan team in OT. Our injured QB out last week for 4-6 weeks, starting RB out this week and we pulled it off in OT.
Lots of fun in college ball this weekend. Old Dominion upsets Virgina Tech!
I watched the first quarter of the Stanford Oregon game and looked pretty grim for the Cardinal. Watching the highlights was pretty fun. Stanford rising! Beat Oregon.
And Army takes #5 Oklahoma into overtime.... love college football!
Didn't watch my Sooners, some new PPV deal. Probably could have streamed it but my IT is so spotty. Kind of glad I didn't, Army gave OU's defense fits.
Went to bed after the Ducks got a first down with less than 2 minutes. I think I missed somethings! LOL.
Did watch the end of VT and ODU. Who knew I had CBS sports channel. Go Monarchs!
I agree with KeavDog. You got to love college football. So much better than the NFL.
Stanford is big strong and deep. Nice to be able to count on the special teams.
We have a good recent history against Notre Dame.
Michigan State class of ‘94 for my BS. University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa for my MA so go Spartans and go Rainbow Warriors! Both have looked okay this year so it should be a fun season.
On the workbench: 1/35 Takom T-54B; 1/35 Tamiya Char B1bis w/French Infantry; 1/48 Tamiya Fairey Swordfish Mk. 1
Ohio State-PennSt. and Stanford-Notre Dame both on about the same time. The recall button on the remote will be working overtime.
Go Bucks and Cardinal.
Yes, good luck Cardinal.
Oh dear. Stanford wasn't fast enough and I think the QB had a sore arm. Miserable game to sit through.
Man.... I have never seen anyone shut down Alabama on both sides of the ball like that. Clemson's freshman qb and freshman wr very impressive. And that defense! Congratulations Tigers!
Yes, congrats to the Clemson Tigers! It was a very impressive win!
Here we are again well in to the season and my mighty SDSU Aztecs are 5-1. Last year's champions Clemson Tigers are ranked 3 despite being undefeated, we'll see where that goes - especially since my new boss is a Tiger :0.
Watching an ugly game between a 1-5 ranked UCLA team vs a 3-3 Standford team - no impact here - UCLA will most likely win this one.
My guess is Alabama will redeem themselves and win the national championship and my beloved Aztecs will again go to a bowl game and hopefully do better than getting blanked like last year against Ohio.
Where are the College football fans???
Big Pro Football Fan here I didnt go to college and didnt have a big university near us to get attached too.
I really enjoyed Bobby Bowden's FSU teams. His early attitude was great when he was trying to get them on the map, they would play anyone, anywhere, and they usualy won.I got to see the 93 National Champion team play Kansas in NJ which was fun.But FSU,not much going on now.
I usually attach to diffrent teams diffrent years depending on the personnel and their journey.
Not a good year for the Cardinal. But hey, year over year they play well, send players up the chain, and can hold their heads up.
Tojo, same here. Grew up in outside sacramento, no team. I moved down to San Diego and went to UCSD which doesn't have a team so I adopted San Diego state.
Did someone say Aztecs? Graduated from there in 2014. I live on the east coast now but try to stay up for the games.
Getting hard to find the games. This weeks game against San Jose St is streaming on Facebook. One of the early games was only on the radio!
Go Aztecs!

I'm guessing you're talking about the UC Davis game. Unfortunately those FCS games are never televised.
Frankly, SJSU is basically an FCS team, too, minus the one year when they had David fales.
I still can't believe we lost to Utah State. But whenever I see Horton recede back to his usual predictable play calling, I know it's gonna go down hill. I really liked how we were more balanced against UCLA, but alas good things must always come to an end...
Edit: strike that, it was Weber State this year, last year was UC Davis
Weber and Utah st are good teams. San Jose has struggled for some time now. Hawaii and Nevada should be interesting.
